Países africanos têm renunciado à cooperação com a França e se voltado para a Rússia, em meio a uma campanha de desinformação nas redes sociais.Logo após o golpe de Estado no Níger, manifestantes a favor dos militares golpistas foram vistos queimando bandeiras da França e gritando « Rússia, Rússia » ou « Viva Putin » em frente à embaixada francesa em Niamey.
Nos últimos anos, alguns países africanos renunciaram à cooperação com a França, a quem acusam de interferir em assuntos internos, em favor da Rússia, que lhes fornece armas ou até mesmo grãos.

Ces dernières années, certains pays africains ont renoncé à coopérer avec la France, qu’ils accusent d’ingérence dans les affaires intérieures, au profit de la Russie, qui leur fournit des armes ou encore des céréales.
Des pays africains ont renoncé à coopérer avec la France et se sont tournés vers la Russie, en pleine campagne de désinformation (sic) sur les réseaux sociaux. Après le coup d’Etat au Niger, des manifestants favorables à deux putschistes militaires ont été vus brûler des drapeaux français et crier « Russie, Russie ». ou « Vive Poutine » devant l’ambassade de France à Niamey.
